The Future Award is an interdisciplinary nationwide ideas competition in which students present their innovative projects, visions and concepts to make the future tangible today. At the Future Convention in Frankfurt am Main at the end of November, the project “rehapp” by Ravensburg media designers Nadine Müller, Maike Jenter and Lisa Zörrer was honored: the three graduates won the special prize of the BKK VBU in the category “Health/Care”, endowed with 1,000 euros.

On the occasion of the Future Convention in the new Stadthalle Langen, more than 500 visitors learned about ideas and concepts for the future of business and society and discussed the challenges of digitalization in numerous workshops and forums. 33 finalists for the Future Award 2017 presented “hands-on future” with their projects, and eight received awards in the evening.
The project “rehapp” by Nadine Müller, Maike Jenter and Lisa Zörrer was awarded the special prize of 1000 euros in the category “Health/Care”. The project of the three media designers is an interactive app that combines logopedic exercises with mini-games to support people with limited facial motor skills during rehab. “rehapp” is an app with interactive learning content, which was created in collaboration with therapists and affected persons. The project was created in the 3rd semester of the media design course with a focus on interactive media/multimedia.

The Future Award is presented annually by the German Association for Post, Information Technology and Telecommunications and honored at the Future Convention. The patron of the competition is the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
The presentation of the work and the award ceremony took place on November 29.
