We move in time. Ever since the invention of the first clocks as timepieces, we align ourselves to time and date. Time has a social function, but time is also very subjective. Too often we find ourselves thiking about the past or worry about the future. Rarely we allow ourselves to live in the here and now, to consciously perceive the present. 1419x JETZT deals with the visual analysis of the present-moment. The graphic experiments were carried out on the basis of Pöppel’s theory about time-perception, defining the present as a time-span of 3 seconds. The book object presents a comparison of visual experiments based on the notion of objective and subjective presence.
