Systematic design and styleguide-development
From a defined repertoire of graphic elements the students developed visual applications to be applied in the form of style guides for specific design rules. The aim of the task is to combine a reduced repertoire of simple graphical elements together with clear rules in order to develop a visual design system of striking visual appearance.
The identity of virtual watchmaker “mora” is based on the geometric form of the pentagram and the golden section principle.
A grid of pentagrams provides multiple systematic variations of the logo’s appearance and leads to a dynamic visual identity. Even the color system is derived from the golden section and creates a playful yet systematically developed look.
