ZMS – Zeig mal Scheide deals with sexism in the German rap community. While the lyrics consist of YouTube comments discrediting female rap artists, the music video reproduces male rap stereotypes in a sarcastic way. The visual background consists of metaphors taken from the lyrics, while the female rappers in the foreground perform in typical rap style. ZMS is a flashy, sarcastic video with a mission to fight sexism in the German rap community. Text, music, acting and video are created by the two artists and show female agency and empowerment in an overall male dominated genre.
