The short film ‘same streets, same sky’ shows how people break out of their monotonous daily routines. Over the course of the plot, the protagonist develops an increasing tendency towards escapism in order to escape her monotonous life. Through the use of AI-supported technology called ‘Gaussian Splatting,’ everyday scenes and increasing perceptual distortions are depicted, making the mechanism of escapism visually tangible. The film addresses personal escape mechanisms and their influence on the perception of reality.
