iff – Initiative zur Förderung von Funklöchern

The project “Initiative to foster deadzones” (iff) deals with a current social problem: The overconsumption of digital media and its effects on our lifes. The goal is to develop a solution to help people take time out from their online presence. The iff aims to make existing dead zones in the mobile network visible, usable and desirable. Instead of perceiving them as a nuisance, they are reinterpreted as an opportunity. By satirically celebrating dead zones, the iff aims to guide people toward places where human connection takes center stage – without the constant pull of digital distractions.
