We eat vegetables and food made from plant-based raw materials almost every day. However, around 2900 crop varieties are currently threatened with extinction in Germany alone. Conventional agriculture, which focuses on a few high-yielding varieties, has already lost 75% of crop diversity. However, this diversity is essential for a balanced diet and the health of nature. ARCHIV.gut would therefore like to draw attention to the large number of threatened varieties and raise our awareness of biodiversity.
