In(ter)section explores how design can help to challenge widespread aversion to insects. Based on topics such as insect diversity, ethics, speciesism, and aesthetic perception, the hidden forms and structures of this class of animals are examined. The aim is to reveal their complexity and open up new perspectives. Based on a survey and our own analyses, wearables are created that are based on the characteristics of insects. In a multimedia showroom with physical exhibits, digital elements, and interactive mirrors, visitors can see, touch, and wear these objects. This creates a distanced but impressive approach to an often overlooked topic. The work is intended as a creative impulse that does not lecture, but rather arouses curiosity and focuses on insects as inspiring, aesthetically diverse, and ecologically significant creatures.
