How can one cope with digitalization? Recently, various aesthetic developments have become apparent in the laboratory that is the music video. Videos either tend to disguise their digital nature with analog or retro looks, or they emphasize the fact of their digital nature and expose it in a hyper-digital way. In doing so, they show how digitalization permeates our lives and notions of identity and they address digitality and its effects.
The film screening was developed in 2016 from research for two lectures in Porto, Portugal, at Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto | School of Fine Arts – University of Porto and ISMAI – Instituto Superior da Maia, presented by Ana Carvalho.
