The programme starts with a young Swiss poster designer who combines old and new, analogue and digital, method and experiment in a very unorthodox way:
Dafi Kühne studied Visual Communication at the Zurich University of Arts. Since an internship at Hatch Show Print in Nashville, TN, he specialised in poster design with wood lettering and letterpress printing with cylinder presses.
With his studio babyinktwice, he produces posters, leaflets, invitation cards as well as magazines for commercial music, film, theatre and art events. His design process is strongly characterised by the mutual influence of analogue and digital design and production tools. All print products are produced autonomously on various printing presses from the 1960s.

In the summer semester of 2012, Dafi Kühne held a guest professorship at the HBK Saar in the field of visual communication and typography.

His poster works have been shown at international poster exhibitions in London, Chicago and Zurich. He has given lectures in Zurich, Milan, London, as well as workshops in Chicago and his work has been published in various books and journals.
