DEUTSCHE & JAPANER is a creative studio run by David Wolpert, Moritz Firchow, Ina Yamaguchi and Julian Zimmermann. Together with national and international clients they work on a diverse range of projects from art and cultural sectors to gastronomy, lifestyle, music and fashion. Clients include Nike, shutterstock or artists such as Bruno Mars or Jay Z. The studio combines various disciplines and design perspectives. On top of branding, packaging and book design, they also develop 3dimensional, artistic and collaborative projects.

Apart from presenting project outcomes, Julian’s talk will focus on the often rewarding but tedious process of opening a design studio, with valuable insights on first-hand experiences, mile stones and pitfalls every young designer should be aware of.
DEUTSCHE & JAPANER is part of a new generation of studios trying to work collaboratively within worldwide independent network.
