The city as free space: this is not how it is defined per se in São Paulo, but how it is taken by certain people. And it is taken by those who do not have official channels of speech, by those to whom one does not necessarily want to listen from the official side. The buildings as text surface, the city as text: this is how those who run Pixo perceive their urban living environment in order to be able to express themselves at all, to engage in politics, to build up sociality and communication and, last but not least, to provide a constant adrenaline rush.
By means of a documentary film, the relationship between the city, urban spaces and inhabitants is examined in terms of its communication structures.
