The DHBW has every reason to celebrate: in the annual University Creative Index 2024 of the Art Directors Club Germany (ADC), DHBW Ravensburg even leads its federal state of Baden-Württemberg to first place in the overall nationwide ranking this year! With its Media Design course, DHBW Ravensburg is the best creative university in the state and in first place in Baden-Württemberg. In the overall ranking of all universities, DHBW Ravensburg reached a fantastic 2nd position in Germany this year with 135 points, just two points behind the currently best-placed HAWK Hildesheim. We are incredibly proud! The Art Directors Club (ADC) talent competition is considered the largest and most comprehensive competition for young talent in the creative industry in Germany. Students of Media Design programme at DHBW have won a large number of so-called nails and awards in recent years. This year’s ADC University Creative Index (formerly ADC University Ranking) is calculated on the basis of the most successful works by students, juniors and graduates of the ADC Talent Awards for the years 2022-2024. The submissions are also categorized according to application areas in order to highlight strengths in the individual creative areas and thus provide better orientation for students, universities and interested parties. Media Design is particularly proud of its ranking in the creative discipline “Experiment / Communication Arts”. Here, MdRV once again took first place after 2023 with 1 x Grand Prix, 1 x gold, 2 x bronze and 5 x awards.
An outstanding result for our media design study program.
For six years now, DHBW RV has been number 1 in Baden-Württemberg for Media Design. The fact that we have been consistently ranked among the top institutions over the years not only demonstrates the outstanding achievements of our talented students, but is also an award for the special support and study environment of our dual study program in Media Design. It clearly shows the consistency with which creative excellence is promoted and practiced in Ravensburg (in Germany 2024: 2nd place, 2023: 3rd place, 2022: 3rd place, 2021: 4th place, 2020: 2nd place, 2019: 2nd place).
The Art Directors Club for Germany (ADC) e. V. brings together around 850 leading minds in creative communication. Members of the club are renowned designers, journalists, architects, szenographers, photographers, illustrators, directors, composers, producers, and specialists for digital media and advertising. The ADC views itself as a benchmark for creative excellence and honors outstanding communication. For this purpose, it organizes competitions, congresses, seminars, talks, events, B2B events and releases various publications.
