At the European Design Awards 2020 ceremony end of April, Christian Sobeck’s media design bachelor thesis “Helping Hands: A guide to signlanguage for nursing and medicine” received two awards: Gold in the category “Self-initiated Projects” and extraordinarily honoured with the Grand Jury Prize as a particularly convincing example of socially relevant design, according to Jonathon Strebly, President of ico-D, International Council of Design.
