At this years’ RSA Student Design Awards, Media Design alumna Anastasia Bondarenko was awarded a “Highly Commended” for her Bachelor’s thesis “Eco Monsters”.
The RSA Student Design Awards is an annual competition by the “Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce”. It challenges emerging designers to tackle pressing social, environmental and economic issues through design thinking. As one of the most important design competitions in Britain its mission is to enable, support and reward design that positively impacts the world. Since 1924 the RSA Student Design Awards has represented a growing voice for socially responsible design, with students participating in the UK and beyond.
For Annastasia Bondarenko’s thesis project – a cross-media interactive game concept for promoting environmentally conscious behavior in children – the RSA Student Design Award is the first international recognition. The project was already awarded the German Future Award Communication and the Green Product Award 2014.
